Well, I should hope so. 2009 sucked.
For a number of reasons. Bad things happened to my friends, bad things happened in my city, nothing particularly good happened to me or to the people I care the most about...

The one good thing about 2009 was the year's end: my best friend *MrNoSocks got around to do a lot of things she had been wanting to do for a long time, we've had a big new year's celebration -where I offered my modest abilities as a sort-of dj- with some friends(among which I must mention ~Purple-o-Rain and his girlfriend Sara -mostly known as Lavi and Road Kamelot- who have been the most gracious and amazing hosts)... ...and we've eaten lots of yummy things. XD

So, yeah, happy new year everyone and let's hope 2010 will behave :3

Just kidding, I just... I dunno, ask myself what's the point in some of the things I do, or if they will ever serve me right..

...funny thing is that even if I know that some of them are really just pointless and I'll never get anything out of them... I keep doing those things nonetheless.

I've been neglecting my dA account ever since my internet line went out due to some big-ass rainstorm that apparently flooded the powerstation responsable for providing connection to my apartment...

Which is a shame, because there was the best Cosplay convention of the year just last week, the Lucca Comics & Games!
Unfortunately, we weren't able to compete on stage because of some complications with the people in charge and a job poorly done on the organization's part this year, but we went there, wore our best costumes and had lots of fun all the same! I've been Riku from KH2 on Friday, and Kanda Yuu from D.gray-man on Saturday and Sunday...

On Sunday I also had TWO Mugen! Yup, because I brought the "Second Illusion" version, complete with the white ray of light connecting the two katanas (which actually was 30 white LED lights underneath a layer of white tulle, but still... it was a 180cm ray of pure white light running from one sword to another, and I'm pretty proud of my work! XD)...

I don't have any photos yet, because my card-port seems to be getting kicks out of being a hissy little bitch and ~Giambu still has to give me his own pics, but as soon as I find something decent I'll post it. Meanwhile, you can go take a look at *tumbleweedz , *BiTterLipsSweEt has uploaded some.

...aaaaand that's kinda all I have to say on the matter... XD
Or rather, I'd say loooooooooots of things but I'd bore people to death, so let's just say it was fun (as every year) but I'm hoping next time we can get on stage again! ^_^

Last week, exactly on Saturday and Sunday, there's been a cosplay convention in our city.
On Saturday, we brought random costumes we already had ready so we'd be able to just have fun, while on Sunday...
we were the PATAPONS!!! I don't have any pics of that yet, but there's our exhibition on Youtube.

Tips to the non-Italian audience:
There's Dante Alighieri on the scene as the Patapon's enemy, because our "Kami" was Dante from Devil May Cry 4, as you will see from the video. What they say to each other is basically Dante Alighieri declaring verses from the Divine Comedy and the other Dante saying "huh?" ... Dante Alighieri then tosses toilet paper at him because there's an Italian toilet paper brand that once made this adversting where they said their toilet paper was so long you could write the Divine Comedy on it without even finishin one roll.
Then Dante kills Dante Alighieri because in Italy they ALWAYS make you study the Divine Comedy and every Italian student HATES Dante Alighieri. XD

Yes, yes! My two fantastic friends *BiTterLipsSweEt and *MrNoSocks have given me a 12 month subscription for my birthday!!!! (among other things)
And they ask me why I love those girls! XD

Anyway, since the most fun you can have with a subscription is with the journal's CSS I'm doing just that... even if this is just a crappy attempt with random colors and paper-like patterns just to see what code goes where...

I've managed to find some good tutorials, but I'm still learning... heh... ^^°
